AOBIM Certification Testing

The American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) was established in 1942 as a not-for-profit affiliate of the American Osteopathic Association. The AOBIM is the only recognized board in the specialty of osteopathic internal medicine and is one of the 16 member certifying boards reporting to the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists of the American Osteopathic Association. The certification and recertification programs in internal medicine and of any other subspecialty or specialty field that may be assigned to this Board are designed to recognize excellence and a high level of competence among those individuals who provide care in the discipline of internal medicine.

Computer-Based Testing

Scheduling
First-time test takers must create a Pearson VUE web account. Please note that account creation may require up to 24 hours. You will be notified by email when your account is activated. Appointments may be made up to one business day in advance.
After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
