Now Updated: CCEE for Virtualization

The Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer certification helps IT professionals develop and validate critical skills for managing Citrix Desktop Virtualization projects. Just updated, the CCEE now includes requirements that align to Citrix XenDesktop 5.5, Citrix XenApp 6.5, and Citrix XenServer 6.0 in a Windows Server 2008 R2 environment. Citrix Engineering Virtualization Exams

Before registering for a Citrix Engineering Virtualization exam, note the following differences between exams and chose the one that is right for you. Due to significant technology differences, the knowledge and skills required to be successful in the respective exams vary greatly.

  • Exam A25: Engineering a Citrix Virtualization Solution, available in February 2012 as a beta and live in May 2012, is based on a Windows Server 2008 R2 environment and covers XenDesktop 5.5, XenApp 6.5, and XenServer 6.0.
  • Exam A15: Engineering a Citrix Virtualization Solution, released in April 2010, is based on a Windows Server 2008 environment and covers XenDesktop 4, XenApp 5 for Windows Server 2008, and XenServer 5.

Expiring Certifications: CCEA and CCIA for XenApp (Presentation Server 4)

On 31 July 2012, the CCEA for XenApp (Presentation Server 4) and CCIA for XenApp (Presentation Server 4) will be expired. Upon expiration, these certifications will no longer be considered current and will be noted as “expired” on Certification Manager transcripts. Before 31 July 2012, you can maintain your certification status by updating to the CCEE for Virtualization by passing just one exam! Doing so will provide with a current CCEE for a period of three years and enable you to earn a CCIA for Virtualization by passing just one additional exam! Stay current with the update path. Now Available: CCAA for XenApp 6

The CCAA for XenApp 6 for Windows Server 2008 R2 certification builds upon the CCA certification by focusing on advanced and additional tasks in a Windows Server 2008 R2 environment , such as monitoring, optimizing and troubleshooting.
