Associate Level Program
Important Announcement:
E20-050 EMC Technology Foundations - CLARiiON Exam Retired on 1/31/10
The EMC Proven Professional Associate-level qualifying exam, E20-050 EMC Technology Foundations - CLARiiON was retired on January 31, 2010.
The retirement of the E20-050 exam will not affect the validity of your existing certification credential. The E20-050 Associate-level credential is still valid obtaining or maintaining Specialist or Expert-level CLARiiON certifications.
E20-097 EMC Backup and Recovery Foundations Exam Retired on 1/31/10
The retirement of the E20-097, Backup and Recovery Foundations, exam will not affect the validity of your Associate or Specialist-level Backup and Recovery - NetWorker certification credential.
The E20-097 Associate-level credential is still valid to obtain or maintain Specialist-level Backup and Recovery - NetWorker certifications.
The Information Storage and Management Exam (E20-001) is the preferred exam to achieve Associate level certification for the Storage Technologist track, and the Technology Architect, Implementation Engineer, Customer Engineer, and Storage Administrator tracks.
If you have already passed the EMC Technology Foundations Exam (E20-040) you do not need to pass the E20-001, Information Storage and Management exam to pursue Specialist level certification in the Technology Architect, Implementation Engineer, Customer Engineer, or Storage Administrator tracks.
EMC Proven Professional certification validates experience, education and study. We offer extensive training and other learning materials to prepare you for your certification exam. All EMC Proven Professional exams are aligned with our training, which is often available in both lecture led and self paced formats.
Many ‘practice exams’ available on the web, from sites such as Killtest.com, TestInside.com, or Pass4Sure.com (this list is not all inclusive), are either outdated and/or irrelevant to the exam, or they are actual exam questions and answers. Use of the first will not prepare you for your exam. Use of the second constitutes fraud and will result in immediate corrective action that may include revocation of your exam results and/or banning your participation in the EMC Proven Professional program.

Storage Technologist Track
The Storage Networking Design and Management Exam (E20-011), one of two Specialist level exams in the Storage Technologist track, was updated on January 8, 2010.
The Information Availability Design and Management Exam (E20-012) was updated on January 29, 2010.
Platform Engineer Specialist Exams
The Celerra Specialist Exam for Platform Engineers (E20-661) was updated on January 8, 2010.
Implementation Engineer Specialist Exams

The Storage Area Network (SAN) Expert Exam for Implementation Engineers (E20-855) was updated on February 19, 2010.

Product Technology Specific Exams
The EMC Technical Foundations Exam (E20-040) was updated on January 22, 2010.
Important Program Update: Mainframe Business Continuity Exams
On March 5, 2010, the EMC Proven Professional Program will replace the exams supporting the Product/Technology Specific certification, Mainframe Business Continuity.
Exams to be retired:
- E22-201 Mainframe Business Continuity Local Replication
- E22-211 Mainframe Business Continuity Remote Replication
Replacement exam to be introduced:
- E22-220 Symmetrix Mainframe Business Continuity (NOTE: the E22-220 exam will be available on March 12, 2010).
The new E22-220 exam will be the single qualifying exam to achieve the new Product/Technology Specific certification, Symmetrix Mainframe Business Continuity, and will be supported by a new curriculum which includes Symmetrix V-Max features.
Important Program Update: EmailXtender and EmailXaminer Exams
On March 31, 2010, the EMC Proven Professional Program will retire the exams supporting the following Product/Technology Specific certifications:

On March 31, 2010, the EMC Proven Professional Program will retire the Technology Architect (TA) Backup and Recovery – NetWorker specialist level certification and supporting exam: E20-590 Backup and Recovery – NetWorker Specialist Exam for Technology Architects.
