CBA (Certified Business Architect) Exam

The CBA exam validates that when a Certified Business Architect participates in the design and construction of a PRPC application, they possess the fundamental, essential PRPC skills and knowledge that must be applied to ensure success.

Recommended Certification Path:
PRPC: Business Architect Essentials (5 Day)
PRPC: Implementation Methodologies (3 Day)
Experience gathering requirements and/or building Use cases is helpful
* Students that have completed PRPC: Fast Track can substitute this for Business Architect Essentials on the Business Architect Certification Path

Length: 90 minutes
Passing Grade: 70%

CCA (Certified CPM Architect) Exam

The Certified CPM Architect (CCA) is for System Architects that wish to expand their knowledge and develop the PRPC skills required to deploy our contact center application.

CMBB (Certified Methodology Black Belt) Exam

The Certified Methodology Black Belt (CMBB) has been developed for Business Analysts and Project Managers who wish to concentrate on Pegasystems methodology and direct capture objectives (DCO). Additional focus is placed on our new Project Methodology (PMF) and Test Management (TMF) Frameworks.

CSA (Certified System Architect) Exam

The Certified System Architect (CSA) is for developers and technical staff members who want to learn how to develop Pega applications. This certification provides a baseline measurement on your knowledge of PRPC.

CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect) Exam

The Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is for Certified System Architects that wish to increase their PRPC skills. This certification validates your ability to use PRPC to design and build for reusability across multiple lines of business.

CLSA (Certified Lead System Architect) Exam

The Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) is for Certified Senior System Architects who are ready to extend their knowledge and become part of an elite team who are the most competent and sought after resources for PRPC projects. The path to CLSA is a comprehensive educational process that incorporates self-study, eLearning, coaching, hands-on exercises and knowledge checks.

General knowledge of Pegasystems SmartBPM® Methodology
Knowledge of your business processes
Hands-on field experience
CLSA Immersion Program or CLSA eLearning

The certification exam is a two part exam. Part I is given at a Pearson VUE test center.
Part I:
50 multiple choice questions — 90 minutes, passing grade 70%
Part II: consists of building a PRPC application based on a given application scenario (7 consecutive days)
Part II is submitted to Pegasystems Graders for review and final grade. In order to achieve CLSA status, you must pass both parts (70/100 each).

PRPC Certification Certificates and Logos

Pegasystems has gone GREEN. Certification certificates and logos are emailed to you within two weeks of successfully passing the certification exam. Logos are only available for those that pass the System Architect and Senior System Architect certification exams. Please note: the email address you provide when registering is the email address where you will receive your soft copy certificate.

Looking for Your Exam Results on PDN!

You’ve passed your certification exam and go to check the PDN but nothing appears for your name. Don’t worry! It takes approximately 10 days before your results will be available on the PDN.

Scheduling

Appointments may be made in advance or on the day you wish to test, subject to availability. You must provide 24 hours notice in any cancellation or appointment reschedule request. Pearson VUE offers a variety of scheduling options—

  • Schedule Test through Local Test Center

Exam Retake Rule:

  • The exam may be taken for a total of 3 times in a 12 month period. The 12 month period starts from the date the first exam is taken. For example, if the first exam is taken on May 1, 2010, a candidate may take the same exam 2 more times before May 1, 2011.
  • There is a required wait time of 2 weeks between attempts.

NDA Important to note:

  • Every Pegasystems exam will require you to accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
  • You are given 5 minutes to accept this agreement.
  • If you do not accept the agreement the testing system will shut your exam off immediately.
  • This is a standard agreement that is widely used across the industry.
